Time To Say Goodbye!
So without further ado ... the theme this week over at Simon Says Stamp and Show is A Bit of Brown!
My last submission is a screen covered in delicious Paper Artsy Daisies. Of course I used lots of Lord Tim of Holtz products ... you know Tim ... the man that invented Motown in Hitsville ... USA while walking a tightrope across Victoria Falls with just a Blending Tool and a Waterbrush! Of course the challenges over at Simon Says Stamp and Show will continue without me ... wait til you see who is now in charge ... she is like UBER talented ... I just know you are all going to LOVE her! Don't forget to join in with your bit of brown ... you could win a $50 Shopping Spree at the amazing online store that is Simon Says Stamp.
So ... who wants to know what I am doing next??? ... well ... I am hanging up my blending tools for a short time to become a pub landlady! Oh yes people ... John and I have bought a traditional english pub and we hope to be moving very soon!
I will of course continue to blog and craft as much as I can so ...
Have a great week ... and ...

Expect No Sense from me Whatsoever!
Anyways ... I will try really hard to make sense of the new theme at Simon Says Stamp and Show ... this week we are asking you to share your Summer Holiday Art. Tricky I know when it has n't stopped raining for like for-ages ... but if you look out your window right now ... we ordered some UK sunshine to get you all in the mood!
The challenge runs from Monday to Monday ... and our wonderful site sponsor ... Simon Says Stamp gives us a $50 shopping Spree to give away every week.
Did I mention the fact that we have SOLD our house!
My summer holiday tag was inspired by the countless hours I spent as a child ... sitting and chatting with friends while making Daisy Chains in the sunshine. I used Dylusions Pure Sunshine and Squeezed Orange sprays ... Paper Artsy Hot Pick 1203 ... and some Lord Tim of Holtz Idea-Ology and text stamp. You know Tim ... the man that individually paints all the butterflies wings while combing the tangle out of the mane of Wild Lions with just a Distress tool and the lid of some Glossy Accents!
I must away ... so much to do ... packing and ... erm ... packing ... did I tell you we SOLD our house!

Sunday, February 5
Home Sweet Home!
We made a heart mobile ... with Distress Stains; Distress Inks; PaperArtsy Paints and dies; Paper Artsy Stamps and of Course Lord Tim of Holtz dies and Stamps ... you know Tim ... the man that cleared all the Roads between Cambridge and East Grinstead today while carving a scale model of the ice hotel out of a single snow flake with just a paper pricking tool and a craft sheet.
Driving home was indeed still a bit of a challenge ... uphill to the motorway on roads with lots of snow was a bit hairy ... but the M25 was clear ... it was just the M11 that needed a bit more work and if you were the idiot driving the golf in snow clad outside lane ... well ... Grrrr!
Of course ... as I type ... I can't possibly sign off without Thanking you guys that commented on yesterdays post ... keeping me company in my lonely hotel room ... I LOVED the chatty comments ... it was really good to know you were there!
Right ... I took far too much demo stuff ... so the unpacking may take me some time ...
Have a good week everyone ... this is indeed five posts in five days *smug grin*

The Best Joke ... Ever!
I should have scheduled this post yesterday ... but then I thought ... I have to be up early in the morning ... so I will type it out and post it then! Did I? No! I forgot! My plans changed and I forgot!
And now it is very late!
Late for what? I hear you ask ... Well! Basically I am late telling you that all the destructions (that's a wonderful Lin Brown ism) to make this foldy booky thing are up on the Craft Barn blog today!
I know it looks a bit tricky ... but you trust me right? So when I say it really is n't ... well you know it really is n't! All the ingredients and measurements are there too ... so if you fancy making one ... do come back and share ... I would LOVE to see what you do!
I need to say "GRRR" at this point too ... Mr Blogger is playing up as I type ... If he does n't leave my pictures where I have carefully placed them ... I may have to virtually slap his legs!
The Rosette and charms are of course Lord Tim of Holtz ... you know Tim ... the man that made Joseph's original technicolour dream coat while designing St. Paul's Cathedral with just a spritz of Ranger Color wash and a smidge of Wonder Tape.
The flowers are from Mr and Mrs Paper Artsy ... LOVE them!
Anyways ... I have a special treat for you today ... I heard the best joke yesterday ... do you want to hear it? Erm ... Well read it anyways??
Here goes ...
I was on Safari in Africa last week and the tour guide was naming diiferent groups of animals.
"That's a pride of lions" he said.
"A tower of giraffes"
"A flight of birds"
Then he said "herd of elephants"
So I said "Yes"
Have a good day people ... well ... erm ... afternoon anyway ... and if you know any good jokes ... don't forget to share!

Ink Yourself Silly!
Well ... as it happens ... this is my very Design Team piece for the Craft Barn.
The remit was all about inking yourself silly and I chose Archival and Stazon ... with a bit of Alcohol Inks thrown in for good measure. Oh what fun ... seems like ages since I played with Shrink Plastic.
If you want to see what ingredients I used to make it ... just click here and you will be magically transported to the Craft Barn Blog.
My favourite bit has to be the ickle biddy butterflies ... they are indeed ... Lord Tim of Holtz Movers and Shapers stamped onto the shrink and then ... erm ... shrunk :0) You know Tim ... the man that wrote every Motown classic ... ever ... while creating a scale model of Big Ben on the end of a tooth pick with just a spot of Dusty Concord Re-Inker and the handle of an Ink Blending Tool!
Christmas is officially over here ... decorations came down yesterday ... everything back to normal ... and looking very tidy I maight add ... I had my domestic Goddess hat on all day yesterday :0)
Right then ... I ought to get my butt into gear ... I have loads on the to do list and my non New Years Resolution is indeed to actually do it!
Have a good week people and for those of you that are returning to work today ...
Have a good one!

Get Me ... and Thank You!
It was a sad day last Saturday ... I taught my last class at LB Crafts ... many of you know that the wonderful Lin is retiring and sadly the shop is closing ... could be sooner than expected too ... apparently the shelves are beginning to look very bare indeed! So ... if you want a bargain ... you better hurry up!
I did manage to finish on a high ...with a sell out class and a fabulous group of ladies ... mind you ... all my ladies are always fabulous ... so ... if you ever attended one of my classes ... Thank you ... I had a ball! A big THANK YOU to the wonderful Lin too ... for having faith in me and the lovely Karen ... for being lovely ... always!
Now for the card ... Shabby Shutters Distress Stains ... Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink ... a spritz of Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls ... Some Pool and Lettuce colour wash all mixed up with some The Wendy Vecchi stamps ... and a few glorious PaperArtsy flowers thrown in for good measure ... and Bob's your Uncle! Nearly forgot ... the Lord Tim of Holtz clock die ... you know Tim ... the man that determines the weather worldwide on a daily basis while creating all the waves in all the seas with just a long legged brad and a mini paperclip.
I must way ... you can put your hands down now ...

Art Squared!
I had a lovely day yesterday doing the wonderful Lin Brown’s “Up My Street” workshop … a great project and lots of fun! After a quick clean up we had our fish and chip supper … more of a sausage and chip supper really before moving on to the ArtsyCrafts samples. Oh My goodness … I came away … having learned something new and very exciting … so inspired …
Anyways … I obviously cannot tell you anything more on the subject … because before I had even pushed the publish post button … the ArtsyCrafts security police would be after me … and being a bit of a woos … never had a fight in my life … well … enough said!
So … I thought I would make the effort with my camera and take some better pictures of my Art Squared Workshop. A 12X12 Canvas art board … spritzed and sprayed with Ranger Colour washes … and then stamped to within an inch of it’s life with PaperArtsy Stamps … embossed with powders … embellished with TSS metal … it is a triple layered affair to give the impression of floating sections. I am still not sure I have done the best job of the photos … but I really tried!
This is probably a good time for me to say … If you like the sound of any of that … there are indeed places left on the workshop on the 3rd June at LB Crafts in Olney … you just need to ring the wonderful Lin or the lovely Karen on 01234714848 and they will book you in.
How many of you are surprised that we are still here this morning??? According to Harold Egbert Camping, 89-year-old founder of Family Radio, a Christian broadcasting network heard in 61 languages around the globe … the world was expected to end at 6pm Saturday evening. That was indeed 2am GMT so it was a bit of a relief waking up this morning for Mrs Harold … I bet!
I am knee high in Ranger Products today … beavering away with lots of The Wendy Vecchi stamps and Lord Tim of Holtz product. You know Tim … the man that probably anonymously saved the world on May 21 while Pilot Whale whispering in a loch in Scotland with just an acrylic block and a jet black archival re-inker.
So … What you up to? What sort of week do you have planned? Not much in the way of excitement planned for me … I am working myself up to sorting out my craft room … yes I know I said that months ago … but this time I really mean it … I think!
Right … that’s me then … have a good time whatever you are doing …

Crackling Up!

What? No Cake?
I have had the bestest time playing with The Wendy Vecchi's new Cake Stand Art Part! I neeeeed another 264 of these babies ... coz the possibilities are just endless.
I painted mine ... all black ... then I aged some of Lord Tim of Holtz's new Crowded Attic papers with Vintage Photo Distress ink and the Paper Artsy mini cogs stamp! You know Tim ... the man that can get this country out of the economic shambles it is in ... in his lunch hour ... while painting a replica of the Mona Lisa with just a pen nib and a jump ring.
I digress ... once attached to the stand ... I aged some of the black paint with Inka Gold in Aged Silver. That always sounds a bit odd ... Inka Gold ... in Aged Silver I mean ... but if that is what it is ... what's a girl to do!
I had a ball filling Lord Tim's Cork Vials with watch parts; Pen nibs and screws ... the screws were a tad too new looking ... so I added a drop of Coffee Archival Re-inker and a spritz of water to age them too. The bottle labels are from the Crowded Attic Salvage Sticker collection ... I distressed those and the corks with some more Vintage Photo.
Don't you just ADORE the Penny Farthing? ... a little bird told me that LB Crafts will have one or two of those beauties at Ally Pally! Talking of Ally Pally ... if you are going ... do pop by the stand and say "Hi". And if I don't recognise you straight away ... you have my permission to ... erm ... well shake me and tell me who you are! I will be demoing both days with the wonderful Lin Brown... and we have some lush stuff to play with!
Righty-ho then ... back to my to do list ... it has a stack of things to do ... including a few class kits for tomorrow ... Yikes ... a slight miscalculation on my part ... but I do promise me 10 students that by tomorrow ... I will have that one sorted :0)

Making up for Lost Time!
Well ... here I am again ... posting for the second day running ... I am truly on a mission now ... a blog post for every day in November ... I know I have said it before and failed ... but seriously how hard can it be!
The pictures I am showing today are bits and bobs from the three projects designed by the wonderful Lin Brown and Leandra Franich for the ArtsyCrafts events! Not only are the retreats fabulous to work on ... but all the assistants get to make the projects prior to the events too. That gives you some idea of the thoroughness in which these weekends are planned ... both Lin and Leandra feel that in order to really help all the attendees ... you have to know the project well! It is all in the planning and these ladies know their stuff ..
. which always makes for a great time!
Anyways ... the bits you can see are from my samples ... sadly I was on the hop while I was taking these piccies ... too busy photographing Ruby before I left the house to take proper sample piccies ... and like a complete numpty ... I don't have any pictures of the completed projects ... but I am sure you will get the general idea.
Thank you for the support on the whole No smoking nurse thing ... the long and the short of it is ... I am now on Nicotine Replacement drugs ... let's hope I don't get addicted to those ... only kidding :0) I should continue to smoke for 8 days and then somewhere between day 8 and day 15 I should pack up!
There is no sneaky ciggies either ... Mrs Nurse lady checks the Carbon Monoxide levels in your blood ... just to make sure! She was n't the kind of nurse you would want to cross either ... if you get my drift :0)
Righty Ho ... I must away ... I have ...erm ... things to do ... I just need to remember what things ...

ArtsyCrafts … Day One!
Blimey … Day One flew by … mind you … don’t the fun things in life always fly past … it’s the visits to the dentist that pass by in slow motion! Unless of course you like the dentist … and who am I to judge … but that is just plain weird :0)
As this event is to be repeated next week in Warrington … and the wonderful Lin and Leandra do such a fabulous job of maintaining an element of surprise … I can’t show you any pictures of the totally stunning projects that all the ArtsyCrafters made today … you will just have to take my word for it … everyone did a really fantastic job and we had lots of fun along the way! I did manage to take this teensy weensy sneaky peek for you … just to wet your appetite … there are lots of bloggers here … so I am sure you will see plenty after next weekend.
I got this great shot of the wonderful Lin and Leandra in action … hands on as always … and a few of the ArtsyCrafty peeps working away. We started at 8am this morning and everyone finished at gone 9pm … we even managed to fit in a very lovely three course dinner … with chocolate cake and a glass of vino no less! We attempted a bit of cobblery … I can tell by the red line that is n’t actually a word … basically we did a hot glue gun jobby on a broken shoe from one of the party goers in the room next door … I saw her again later and sadly the glue did n’t hold and she was getting tired of walking around on tippy toes … but she was very grateful that we at least tried. The worse thing was … I prized the heal away from the shoe a bit further so I could squeeze the nozzle in … and the whole thing virtually came away in my hand … luckily the wonderful Lin stepped in and saved the day!
The room is now all prepped and ready for the fun to start all over again in the morning! I am off to soak my aching feet in a nice hot bath … more twittery updates tomorrow and maybe a few more piccies too …
Have a lovely Sunday y’all

Incognito!
Well guys … tomorrow is here and thanks to the wonders of technology I am indeed blogging from a hotel room in Newport Pagnell.
We have just finished set up and first thing tomorrow morning ArtsyCrafts will begin in earnest.
I have no sneak peeks to show you I am afraid … but look at the yummy paints … and look how wonderfully they are displayed … I was manager of the paint department tonight don’t you know … the paint department is actually bigger than this … but I just took a picture of the best bit so you would get a rough idea.
The tables are all laid out with all the inks, paints, kits and yummy bits and pieces ready for the morning … the shop is set up … we had pizza for tea … oh and cake … it was Jo’s 50th birthday so we had yummy chocolate cake!
For all of you that are struggling to sleep tonight because you are worried about Ruby … well worry you not … I have dressed her up … and trust me … John really does know better than to touch that apron … so she won’t be going anywhere :0)
I don’t think I have shown you my Ranger apron before … the Ranger Logo is hand stitched by harp playing cherubs … the metal badges are all made by the wonder Lin Brown … I have a couple of the now famous and much sought after PaperArtsy badges … THE Wendy Vecchi has signed one side and Lord Tim of Holtz has signed the other … you know Tim … the man that can turn sea water into Perfect Pearl mists while rescuing Andrex puppies from a burning inferno and certain death with just the safety cap off some Tonic Studio Scissors … and one swipe of a Distress Ink.
Righty-Ho then … I am off to bed … I have a very early start in the morning …

Thank God it's Friday!
Blimey ... What a week I have had ... NO INTERNET! I know with all you Bloggers out there ... I need say nothing more on the subject ... but boy did I feel lost without it! No blogging ... no blog hopping ... no emails ... no WOYWW ... It did leave me wondering if I should get out more!
Needless to say ... I did n't ... and it is good to be back. I came back to 8 messages from Badul Sowedo ... telling me he needed little ole me to help him spend his millions ... I must remember to email him with my bank details ... NOT!!!!
Anyways ... enough about the internet already ... I did find I had loads more time on my hands ... made lots of cards ... I may even blog them all ... I had my nails done ... and my hair done ... I went to LB Crafts ... had a fabulous day catching up with my lovely friend ... I even sorted out my paper drawer ... you know ... that drawer in the kitchen ... where you ram all sorts of junk that you have n't got the time or the inclination to face ... then it gets sooooo full you can't cram any more in ... so you start a little pile on the work top and then before you know it ... well you have to have mountaineering training before you can reach the top of it ... or is that just me??? Go on ... spill ... What do you do with yours???
The card you can see is coloured with Lord Tim of Holtz's Distress Inks ... you know Tim ... the man that can create a Commonwealth village in his tea break while tracking Tigers in Bhutan with just a Decorative Bauble and a five ball length of ball chain!
The stamps used are Paper Artsy and Dark Room Door and that is just about it ...
Sooooooo looking forward to demoing at Ally Pally this weekend ... remember to shout Hi and show me your stash haul if you are passing :0)

Only 167 Sleeps!
No ... I am not suggesting you fork out a shed load of dollars in plane fairs ... or camp out waiting at airports ... ready to grab the Lord himself in arrivals ... however tempting that appears to myself :0) No ... I am talking ... HERE IN THE UK!!! ... in Newport Pagnell no less ... accessible to ordinary crafty people like you and me ... for like ... the first time ever ever ever!
Not only do you get to play and learn from the uber talented Lin Brown and Leandra Franich ... but ... be still my aching heart ... Lord Tim of Holtz is going to be teaching too! Oh yes ... you know Tim the man that can hop from one side of the world to another in his lunch hour ... speaking every single language in between ... while making a replica Tower of London with just a grain of Black UTEE and a single Idea-ology adornment!
How excited am I??? On a scale of 1-10 ... only 63gazillion, 5 trillion, 456 million and erm ... two!
If ... like me ... you wanna know all the glorious details then head straight over to here or here!
I am kidding myself now that you are still reading this bit ... anyways ... if you are ... I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get your holiday days cleared in plenty of time for ticket sales ... on Monday night!!!!!!

Ding Dong!
Oh Yeah! A bit of early planning from me today ... well ... I say early ... this book has been in the planning stage for about three years :0) So although it is early for Christmas 2010 .... technically it is very late for Christmas 2008 or maybe 2007!
I am finally being brave and using up all my scraps of the Cosmo Cricket 'Be Good' papers! I LOVE those papers ... a lot ... and each year I look for something I am going to like more and each year ... I still LOVE the 'Be Good' range the most! Why ... Oh Why don't they make them any more??? I know I am not the only one that loves them ...
It's like when you fall in love with a certain lipstick or blusher ... it becomes your all time favourite but when you go in and try and buy some ... they have stopped making it! You get that ... 'Well nobody wanted it anymore' response from the counter assistant ... and there is a little voice screaming inside you saying ... WELL ACTUALLY I BLOOMIN' WELL DID!
Anyways enough of my moaning ... I had great fun making this ... I used the 6X6" craft covers from Zutter ... my trusty Bind-It-All ... the aforementioned papers ... Darkroom Door Christmas Stamps ... Ranger Distress Inks as water colours ... some ribbon and a few jingley bells ... so it even sounds like Christmas :0) Ooops I nearly forgot the PaperArtsy Poinsettias and the triple embossing but not the Lord Tim of Holtz Grungepaper ... you know Tim ... the man that can wing walk without a harness or a plane while making chocolate eclairs with just an ornate frame and one brad!
Right-Ho then ... I am away to make stuff ... not sure what yet ... but I am sure I will think of summink! What you up to???
C'mon spill ...

Side Tracked!
I set out with the best of intentions today! I was going to clean every inch of my craft room!
I started under my desk ... that went well ... I found a box to alter that I had completely forgotten I had and three fab Papier Mache suitcases that I can vaguely remember needing on a visit to the NEC about four years ago!
Then it was going to be on top of my desk ... I had a quick blog hop to congratulate myself for doing under the desk and that is when I got sidetracked.
Remember those fab little B Line dress stamps? ... Remember the tag bits from yesterday? ... well I decided to make stuff with them rather than just putting them away! Of course while I was on the blog hop I happened by Lord Tim of Holtz's blog ... as you do ... you know Tim ... the man that will carry on working until he is 150 if he chooses while rescuing the entire underwater population with just a jump ring and an ornate frame.
Anyways ... while oohing and arrging over his post I see the Ranger Make and Takes from CHA. Well funnily enough there just happened to be a swivel clasp handy ... some shrink plastic all prepared for my class tomorrow ... and the rest as they say is ... well ... that really! Seeings as I am not at CHA ... I have made my own make and take ... not quite the same as actually being there ... but good fun anyway!
Only shame is that the top of my desk now looks worse than when I started! Hey Ho!

Wanted - Desk Tidier!
Mmmm ... not great is it? I remember back in the day when WOYWW first started! I was too shy and embarrassed to blog my desk for all to see ... so I used to link up over at Julia's place ... but hide my desk in my blog archives ... so only the really desperately ... erm ... nosy would see it! Just look how things have changed!!! It is nearly midnight on Tuesday ... I have a packed day ahead of me ... and in order not to miss out ... I have been up since 5.45am and still ... with eyelids drooping ... I am typing out this post with no shame whatsoever!!!
Yes! ... there are stamps everywhere ... Yes! the phone is chucked on the desk where I threw it ... Yes! at some point in the near future it will ring ... I will answer it ... it will bleep loudly and cut the someone off ... basically because once again ... I did n't walk the 10 or so paces to the other end of the room to stick it on the charger! Yes ... the calendar is on my desk ... but No ... it's not on the right date ... Yes the highly coveted WOYWW easel is on my desk ... and No ... once again there is no handmade card in it! Mind you ... it does hold my Lord Tim of Holtz hand crafted tag very nicely indeed ... you know Tim ... the man that can win the Tour De France on a unicycle with just a smidgeon of Sepia accents and a solitary crystal of Black UTEE!
If you wanted a closer look at my tag ... or even if you did n't ... well you got one anyway and finally ...
If you are a good desk tidier ... please come round ... erm ... daily ... pretty please with cherries on top! Oh and Finally Finally ...
Well Done for reading this far and if you are passing by Julia's place ... please link me up ... you could join in too while you are there ...

Every Day is a Delight!
I had another good day in Olney yesterday ... it was the second of my Finding Delight Tag book workshops.
Another great group of ladies ... some familiar faces and a few new ones too ... and so much diversity and talent ... I loved every second ... as usual.
I also got a few minutes to play ... even better huh??? So here are my demo tags ...
Basically the book is made up of two pieces of A6 chipboard filled with postcard tags that are decorated with Distress inks ... Glimmer mists ... stamps ... Grunge paper ... Maya Road frames ... and anything else you can lay your hands on really then bound with the Bind-it-all!
The sun is shining here and I am busy trying to straighten out my Craft room before starting on my "to do" list ... a "to do" list that is getting way out of control! Anybody else got a "to do" list that is the length of the M25??? I am just deciding whether to start at the top ... or just get a pin and work my way through it ... randomly :0)
Have a great Sunday afternoon everyone!
