That is That Then!

I know ... I Know ... I have failed on the whole blog every day in September mission! But I do have an excuse! No ... The dog did n't eat my posts ... I was struck down by half a sore throat! It all started Friday ... just a bit sore when I swallowed down one side ... by Saturday ... the gland came up on the same side ... but I soldiered on ... by Sunday ... I was well and truly laid up and all I could do was sleep ... yesterday was the same ... but today I appear to be on the mend ... So ... Who missed me???

You can tell I am better because I am back in my craft room ... I am sure I did n't leave it in this mess ... but Hey Ho!

So nothing new to share with you today ... this is a Beer Mat I did a couple of weeks ago ... I say nothing new ... you won't have seen it before ... unless you are the culprit that snuck in and untidied my craft room :0)

Righty Ho ... I must away ... I have a head full of ideas and Crafting withdrawal symptoms ...

Packing Your Bags!

Please someone ... make it rain ... or snow ... or just turn frosty overnight! This weather is no longer funny ... I need me some wintry weather! A controversial thing to say ... I know ... but ... Is anyone actually enjoying this spell of Summer that we are having???

I know what you are thinking ... I bet she'd moan if she was cold ... but I would n't ... truly I would n't ... never again ... ever ever!

OK ... so that is today's whining over and done with ... just thought I would pop in and show you what I made for the Kreative Kaboodles blog today ... actually it was yesterday ... now ... here ... but erm ... today ... erm ... there :0) ... a quick and easy keepsake in another one of those very cute Zutter suitcases ... and if you missed the last one ... well it looked like this!

I am off in search of a cool breeze ... I may be some time!

Oh Man!

I shall set the scene ... late on a Sunday morning ... still in my jammies ... nice and relaxed watching "Something for the weekend" while slurping my third or fourth coffee of the day ... when John Says "Have you made a card for my Dad?". "Not yet" I replied calmly ... then wondered why he was asking a week early ... when he usually leaves it until the day before and I often grin smugly to myself that if I ever left it that late ... well all our cards would be shop bought quite frankly ... so curiosity got the better of me "Why?" ... "Because I thought I would drop it round on my way to work tonight so he has it to open in the morning!!!!"

Get the picture ... some fast moving required on my part ... John's Mum keeps an album with all the cards I make for them in it ... I needed to get up stairs and start crafting pronto! A shop bought card just would never do!

Sadly ... I was short on creative energy today and everything I touched pretty much turned to that proverbial waste product delivered in small parcels by our canine pets on the lawn ... then I saw the Sunday Stamper challenge was gold and I thought ... just smother it in gold and all will be fine. So the Grid stamped background was laid into a Walnut glimmer misted craft mat and dried. The Tim Holtz die cut Grungepaper heart was plastered in Gold Dabber and embossed with Gold powder for good measure and the card ... well ... trust me ... it looks a lot better than it did :0) I shall probably smuggle it back out of the album at some point in the future though!

Pingate!

I am well aware that only the WOYWW crew are likely to know what I am on about ... so I will set the scene. A few months back after waiting for an entire three hours for John to put a wood plinth up in my craft room I took matters into my own hands. I hung my up-cycled beer mats on my craft room wall with pins. Now the pins are not straight ... nor are they similar widths apart ... but the job was completed in five minutes and I was happy!

Now John is an aircraft engineer ... he likes straight lines and jobs that get finished to a high standard ... he was NOT going to like my prettied up wall ... trust me! Anyways ... I shared my secret on my blog (he never reads it) and managed ... successfully ... I might add to keep John out of my craft room for the last eight weeks or so! I am on the third floor and on the couple of occasions I have heard him venture up the stairs I have successfully managed to tiptoe rapidly across the room and start walking downstairs in the opposite direction ... at which point he always turned around with me.

Now I have the attic room ... which has low ceilings and a flush light fitting. The light fitting is a circular thing with like a halo wotsit around it ... and it is a nightmare when changing a bulb. Well the bulb only went and blew late Tuesday night ... I bought a new bulb on Wednesday and smuggled it past John ... bless ... he is a helpful soul and would have offered to do the job for me ... which I clearly could n't allow for afore mentioned reasons. Well after struggling for about 20 minutes ... I gave up ... called John and decided to face the music. I waited with baited breath for the teeth sucking and the huffing ... but do you know ... his vein did n't even pulse in the side of his head ... no sign of anxious beads of sweat or nothing ... just ... well ... silence. Now I know he saw the pins ... their unevenness and the thirty something of them in the plasterboard wall ... that he will have to fill in the future ... but nothing ... nada .... zilch! Here we are entering into the weekend ... and still no word ... very strange ... so there you have it ... Pingate ... all's well that ends well!

I have just blogged the card for Creativity Boutique ... and I am now off to up-cycle more beer mats ... well ... in for a penny ... in for a pound :0)

Just a quickie post from me today ... I am far to busy eating Hot Cross Buns and chocolate to be blogging :0) Actually that is n't strictly true ... I have been doing other things too ... like ...erm ... watching telly :0) Well ... that's what Bank Holidays are for are n't they? 

So ... remember that sneaky peek I showed you of the card kit I was asked to design ... well this is the rest of the card I showed you and you can read all about the kit over on the Kreative Kaboodles blog today :0)

I did warn you that it was a bit different for me ... but I wanted to appeal to as many people as possible and am well aware not everyone is a huge fan of my usual grungy style :0) I did however manage to sneak some grunge paper into the kit ... well you can't have a kit with out a bit of Tim in there somewhere ... you know Tim ... the man that delivers all the chocolate eggs around the world in under two hours with just a Sprocket Gear and Type Charm while the Easter Bunny just suns himself on a Moroccan Beach.

While I have been typing this post ... I am just wondering if it is possible to have a virtual Easter Egg eating competition ... or would peeps be tempted to cheat? I mean we would have to look seriously at the rules and such like ... by one egg do we mean both half shells and total contents ... could a small creme egg count as a full egg towards your tally ... I mean they are quite sickly! And come to think of it ... they appear a lot smaller than they used to! Are they smaller or am I just larger??? Smarties always look very small these days too and I am sure if I could actually find Tutti Fruittis ... well they would probably appear a fraction of their former size. Does anyone out there work for a Creme Egg making factory? If you do ... could you answer my queries in the comment section ... oh and then email me your addy so I can come around and visit :0)

Oh yeah ... and if it is possible to hold a virtual competition ... well I have eaten 627 half shells today :0) Cheat? Who me? Course I would n't cheat :0)

As Good as it Gets!

Talk about pressure! The lovely Angela from ToucanScraps only went and book marked me! Coming back today for an inspection no less. Now I have absolutely no intention of doing this on a regular basis ... so for one day only and especially for all my lovely WOYWW friends ... this is as tidy as my craft room gets. I really hope Angela approves! I mean book marked ... I don't think any one has ever done that to me before ... not to my knowledge anyways! You guys also need to know ... how much fun you make my Wednesdays ... Julia has created a very special ritual for Wednesdays and your comments just make it a great thing to be part of!
As a rule ... the only time I ever post non crafty pictures on my blog is a Wednesday ... but as you can see I have been sooooo busy tidying ...

Today though I am going to venture into the land of sneaky peeks ... I have been asked to design a card kit ... which is very very exciting ... for me anyway ... not so sure about you lot :0) I get to choose the papers ... stamps ... everything!

I am still doing the finishing touches ... but I thought I would give you a quick taster of something very different for me ...
Hopefully I will be able to show you the rest of it quite soon ... Did I tell you that I was very excited :0)

That Friday Feeling!

Blimey ... Where did this week go ... actually it all felt quite sedate until Wednesday night ... then Thursday flew and I cannot believe it is Friday evening already!

I had an exciting delivery today ... I may even play with it in a minute ... it is the new Timmy stamp ... you know Timmy ...the man that can paint synchronised rainbows world wide with just a distress re-inker and a one inch square of grunge board. I am not telling you which one it is ... suffice to say ... it is a controversial choice ... you either love it or you hate it and I definitely love it!

Just Time for a Quickie!

Cor Blimey! I was up with the larks this morning with a whole list of things to do and guess what ... it's the afternoon again and I am not even half way through! Time is flying so it follows that I must be having fun :0)

The weather is blooming awful. It is cold and wet and there are threats of snow ... which I need like a hole in the head because I am off up to L.B Crafts in Olney at the crack of dawn for another class ... very very excited I might add ... but driving and snow do not make a safe journey with me at the controls :0)

Anyway ... I can't sit around here chatting ... I have erm ... blog hopping to do ... and no ... it's not on my list ... but :0)

I am rather late posting today ... had me hair done and that sort of thing already for tomorrow :0)

I don't think it has stopped raining all day and it is flippin cold too ... I tell ya!

I may just go into hiding ... but the lovely Karen is in the shop to keep me on track ... so it should n't come to that :0)

A Bit of a Love Fest!

I am not sure if I should apologise for more romantic crafting in January or not ... and as I am not sure I am not going to :0)

I made this card earlier today for Creativity Boutique and as the day is drawing to a close and I have not made anything else I thought I would share it with you guys too. The instructions and ingredients list are all here if you fancy giving it a go.

I ventured out today too ... de-icing my car was not fun ... but I should n't complain because the last few days did n't bring us much snow at all. After chatting to Lin earlier ... well ... I felt positively warm and cosy compared to the arctic conditions she is experiencing in her neck of the woods. If you are trying to book a class please be aware that Lin has been snowed out of her shop for a few days and will be back in tomorrow and available on 01234 714848 from about 10.00am for bookings.

Right ... well ... I think that is me for now ... I am definitely in the mood for making something else ... but what??? ... I only have a limited number of boyfriends ...

That WAS a joke by the way ... I am just a one man woman really!

Blogging on Another Blog!

I am a member of the new Design Team at Creativity Boutique ... I have had sooooo much fun playing with Stampendous stamps and the other goodies I got to mess around with! Which I can't tell you about yet :0)

Totally yummy goodness!

But there is a scary side too ... I blog on their blog ... now ... you know me ... I ramble about all kinds of nonsense here ... well it's home ... and I can do what I like ... but now on a Friday ... I shall be appearing there too! Do you think they are expecting a grown up?

Later today is the first day and I am a little bit terrified ... I drafted my post yesterday and have checked it somewhere between one and two thousand times for spelling errors ... I keep making sure I have added my card ... oh the trauma!!!

You know what's coming ... don't you? ... please pop over and say Hi to me on there ... I don't want to be a "Billy no mates" as well as traumatised!!! Oh ... the shame!!!
