I had a great time yesterday ... mainly hopping ... and a bit more journalling ... but more of that in a mo! I feel exonerated ... loads of you would spread Korean Tea on your toast ... so my crispinacupofhotwater saga looks a little less daft now does n't it :0) Of course ... Sharon goes right to the top of the class for her comment! She said "It's Citron jam .. In Korea, it is used to create yujacha, a type of Korean tea. The fruit is thinly sliced (peel, pith and pulp) and soaked or cooked in honey or sugar to create a chunky syrup. This syrupy candied fruit is mixed with hot water as a fragrant tea, where the fruit at the bottom of the cup is eaten as well. Often preserved in the syrup for the cold months, yujacha is served as a source of fruit in winter. :) and it is way yummy iced too :)". Which is indeed what it is! Way to go Sharon!
Now I need to warn you that today ... well I feel quite nervous posting this ... for all my bravado on Tuesday ... of how I was going to do whatever in my journal and blog it regardless ... well ... it is actually a whole lot harder to blog it then I realised! I have no idea what you are going to make of this page! Do I like it? Not really! But I totally loved doing it ... I felt totally at peace doing it ... so that makes me really want to like it ... and it is all part of the journey ... one day years from now ... maybe I will look back and laugh at how naive the page is ... and lets be honest ... Picasso I aint! But then I already knew that ... they would n't let me do "O" Level art at school ... Mr Nix said I just had n't got the "required level of skill" ... I am guessing Picasso was in the top set! Not the same year as me I hastened to add!
Anyways ... That is Lord Tim of Holtz's weathered clock ... let's hope Kay has the right glasses on ... and of course his gadget gears ... you know Tim ... the man that can cycle to the Moon in his lunch hour while reciting War and Peace with just an ornate frame and a blending tool!
Okay ... so now I am begging you ... don't leave me hanging ... love it or hate it ... say something ... I am pushing publish post ... erm ... Now!
Laters!

Hey Linda! I am SO impressed... it does take courage to blog something even if you don't love it - but in my opinion - I love it! That's what this "art thing" is all about - creating things for the joy of it, exploring new ideas, new techniques, always learning and trying new things. BRAVO! You're inspiring me to do more of that myself. You may not be Picasso... but hey.... Picasso is no YOU, either! We all have our own style... our own voice... cheers to you for using yours. Can't wait to see what's next!
Hugs 2 U - Ellen xx
Fabulous work there, very arty
Well I really, really, REALLY love it Linda. Why don't you like it?
Way to go Linda! Now you're an art journalling addict like me! From the time I first tried it there was no going back - and I so relate to what you said about totally loving it. For what its worth, its not so much about making an impressive work of art as getting something down on paper which means something to you. Nobody has to actually LIKE it, not even you, but its a bonus whey you/they do. And I does.
Atta girl - it's all you, from the heart so relish in the honest and beauty of a sincere moment. Now that's what I call the real Facebook. (Didn't do art either "not the right eye for details, more academic....") Chose physics and learnt how a wooden trolley can go down a hill faster with spuds in it. Then I took up ballet... Great to see you having some playtime - savour and enjoy...
Sarah.
Love it Linda & like you say, it's part of the journey. My art teacher wouldn't let me take art at GSCE as he said I'd fail it (took it at college & passed) teachers eh? what do they know lol.

I am wearing my glasses you will be pleased to hear, so I can see the page in all it's fabulousness. Be glad you aren't Picasso, he leaves me cold. You on the other hand are a very talented lady and I love your art, including this. Thank you for being brave enough to share this with us x
I think it's fab! Art journalling isn't about being a trained artist/brilliant at drawing, it's about creating art that is personal to you. And this definitely is... and if it's any encouragement to you, it's better artwork than I could manage!

I think you did a grand job and you are far braver than I would be about blogging.

Just love it!It really jumps out from the page.
I love it Linda and I love that you have been "brave" enough to share it. Happy journalling!
I've always said that my journal is about the process more than the finished result, so frankly, I don't care how it looks when I'm done lol Your page is wonderful, honest, alive and best of all, you enjoyed yourself!
Love it
oh linda i love her..i'm assuming she's you, right? and bloody gorgeous you are too :0)
journalling isnt supposed to be high art...its about getting things out and trying new styles or techniques...and of course having a laugh!
It's a great page, but don't worry about it good or bad... it's a journey, as your blo title proclaims everytime I click on it... You were right to publish it and you should be proud, never mind what we lot think!!! tee hee
