A Rare Wake-up Call!

WOYWW1407

We all got an unusual wake-up call here in Cambridge today. An air display!

When I say Air Display ... I actually mean one airplane ... an American Hercules ... with an American test pilot practicing his stunts for Fairford Air show at the weekend ... quite spectacular it was over a bowl of Bran Flakes! For all you Hercules boffins out there ... firstly you have come to the wrong blog and secondly I am not sure if it was a 'J' or a 'K' ... John did say but I got bored at "it's a ..." and switched off ... while still nodding and appearing interested!WOYWW11407

This is my desk ... and this is what's on it and if you are wondering why I am showing you ... well I am joining in with the published WOYWW challenge run by the charismatic and very lovely Julia.

Okey Dokey ... I am off to fix a rather annoying and probably ultra obvious solution problem ...

Have a good day!

Laters!

Would have loved to see the Hercules...but I am more of a Lancaster Bomber girl meself ROLFMAO

Love your 'dream', it seems no matter what you put together it's looks gorgeous! Now, if that were me, A bit of spotty paper and some tin foil, would look like a bit of spotty paper and some tin foil!!

Impressively tidy Linda, and well organised too! Love your rose piece which I find enjoyably PINK!!

Great card. We get Hercules over us on a regular basis but they don't do stunts!! Lucky you.

Who has kidnapped Linda and is masquerading as her with a tidy desk? If it weren't for the signature flower I would assume Linda was locked in a cupboard and some imposter had taken over her desk for the week!

:)

Mary Anne (who's desk is also far tidier than normal - or was at 6 AM)

I love it when you see an unusual aeroplane totally out of the blue. We had a hercules fly over extremely low, just skimming the tree tops, when we were camping in May! I couldn't tell you what letter it was either lol! gorgeous pink rose, very neat desk!!! ;)

ah - no one does more beautiful flowers than you (in my opinion, tahnks for the share,

by the way - up here in Derby (Rolls Royce) we have a flight worthy spitfire that has been known to do low fly past victory rolls during the concert in the park (Darley Abbey) - stunning engineering.

Just dropping by ...didnt WOYWW ...not long realized it was Wednesday lol. I so love what you are doing ...you seem to have been truely inspired by your time in the US of A.
When you mentined Cambridge my mind drifted back to the late 70's and early 80's when I went, with friends to the folk Festival. It was great back then ...all ages except teenagers ...then about '86 they took over ...shame.

Lovely design, as usual, Linda. I never tire seeing those roses. Glad to read you are short, too. We short people have to stick together. My favorite short joke (and I'm not normally fond of short jokes): Short people are the last to know when it's raining and the first to know when there's a flood.

BTW, since you live in Cambridge, do you ever get to see the "Lewis" TV series being filmed?

I am impressed... it all looks awfully neat! The art iss fab as always but I am with Spyder on this... mine would also look like a bit of spotty paper... not arty farty at all!

It's looking suspiciously tidy on that there desk. Where's the real Linda - what have you done with her??

Brenda Brown said...

HI Linda. Glad you saw the Hercules. I am under the flight path for Farnborough airport and we have the Farnborough air show starting next week, but this week they are validating and practising, so lots of noise here.
Used one of your designs as inspiration last week and made a Christmas hanger - it's gone down well.
Thanks alot. Take care.

I listen to BBC Cambs first thing and they were talking about the Hercules this morning - sounds exciting and more fun to watch than Breakfast TV!
Is that a book or a hanging? either way it's lush

I live right by Fairford, so I'm pretty used to Hercules planes going overhead - noisy, aren't they :)

While I'm here...could you pop past UKStampers and the CJ thread when you have a chance? Efemera is doing a roll call of who has what...

lol with the comment thanks, and you can pop around any time. I had to zoom in to have a really good neb on this image cannot wait to see your next submission for WOYWW
