A Day of Ups and Downs!

Tag1a2005

You guys all know me by now ... I am not one to complain ... like to make the best of everything and today started off wonderfully well! I drove to a little village tea room just outside Cambridge to have a spot of elevenses with my daughter! It was incredibly lovely and sooooo relaxing! Found ourselves talking a little bit posh, we did and even a tad quieter than normal ... the waitress was in bygone clothes and it was just like taking a step back in time ... the perfect remedy for stress! Not that I was stressed ... then anyway ... but you know what I mean.

The downs I refer to ... my car tyre ... with a nail in it ... less said about that the better and John has once again jumped to my rescue and changed it!!! I am just glad he was around! Do any of you know how to change a tyre??? I don't!!! And more to the point ... Would you feel safe driving the car after you had changed it??? ... I know I would n't!!! ... if I had ... which I have n't ... but if I did :0) I always find dropping the independent woman bit works at a time like that and yes ... gasp in horror if you must ... but Tag12005I resort to the helpless little female act whenever it is required and I find the transition ... well .... effortless :0)

As for the tag ... certainly reflects today's weather me thinks. As for those of you on Ranger U watch ... 29 sleeps left ... Woo Hoo! I feel an overwhelming desire to mention Lord Tim of Holtz at this particular juncture too ... you know Tim the man that could pop out in the garden on a hot summers day and build you your own personal ice hotel in your back garden in about 10 minutes with just one fragment and a dollop of Peeled Paint distress stickles while changing your car tyre with his free hand :0)

Have a lovely evening ... See ya's

Hmmm...I remember a recent occasion when your car "broke down" too... someone up there is trying to tell you something! :D

I can't change a tyre either and certainly would not try to drive a car that I'd attempted a tyre change on ;)

That tag is gorgeous, the butterfly looks like it is glowing almost!

I find the helpless female act is so easy to use... batting eyelashes and showing cleavage usually works a treat ROFL Hope that you manage to get some sleep hun ... otherwise it will still be 29 left to go LOL xx

Wonderful bright tag ;)
No I can't change a tyre but amazingly I can and did change browsers which is allowing me to leave comments on blogs I've not been able to comment on this week - result! Would love to be able to change a tyre though.

Wow Linda, that gorgeous tag looks as though it would singe your fingers! It's a beauty though!

How to change a tyre was the first thing my Dad showed me after I passed my test (too many years ago to tell you) but ............. I wouldn't do it. Firstly, I'd never be able to get the nuts undone and if I did I wouldn't trust that I'd tightened them up enough for the wheel to stay on! Instead, I know a nice man (in a van) that can and will change it for me. Mind you, it costs enough for his services, Lol!

This tag is brillaint. Love the background, and all the elements.

Change tyre - no, never - try not to add the fuel, if I can send OH off in it to do something for me just as it bleeps that it needs filling!!!

Beautiful tag, fabulous hot colours.

We were in Cambs yesterday, and also had ups and downs (well, my hubby did, I stayed on the ground and went red!
You are soooo right about the car stuff - definitely a time to drop the Independent woman lark and let the blokes come to the rescue (well, it's good for their morale, isn't it hahaha)

Love your taqg especially the bright summery colours.

I got a flat on the way to work once and my boss was amazed that I didn't know how to change the tyre. To be honest though paint, ink and glue on my hands - fine, oil, no way!

To be honest again (cos I am so sweet and innocent) I think men quite like us being a bit helpless sometimes so I see it as my duty to oblige :)

Oh Dear - you have a good un in John - cos my OH does the helpless male bit - without trying what so ever!!! It comes very natural to him... thank goodness we are in RAC!!!

Gawjuss tag - love the colours...
