The Morning After the Night Before!

WOYWW1003

If you can't bare mess ... Look away now! If you can't bear unfinished and discarded projects ... Look away now! If untidiness and general devastation brings you out in hives ... you really really need to look away now!

How on earth has this happened? ... it may have been the result of an all night rave ... a wild crafting party ... a break in ... but I know otherwise!

I could give excuses ... like ... I have a lot on ... a head full of ideas and not enough time to tidy as I go ... but I know what you WOYWWers are like ... you would see right through that in an instant! So I have thought long and hard about saying something intelligent and believable ... I have revisited my A Level in English language ... racked my brain for my creative writing skills about the state of my desk and the best I can come up with is ... erm ... OOPS!WOYWWa1003

In for a penny ... in for a pound as they say ... I did the ever growing in popularity and really quite fashionable swing ... and the other side aint much better!

Still at least it is all out in the open now ... I feel kind of liberated and spurred on to tidy before I start crafting today ... perhaps our illustrious leader, Julia could set a HMDYTBT challenge ... you know like ... How Much Did You Tidy By Thursday!

That's me then peeps ... I may be back later with something prettier to view ... that is if I actually manage to get to my desk without breaking a limb!

Have a good day y'all and I will be seeing you shortly!

Well if it's too much for you, you could just sit and stare at your beautiful lilac wall for a bit till a feeling of peace and serenity returned - in fact if you took a photo of your wall alone anyone who's feeling stressed after looking at your desk and floor could sit and look at that for a few minutes till their equilibrium had been restored ;) hehe

I don't see the mess Linda, I just see lots of yummy goodies to play with. I do think your idea of HMDYTBT is great though. Maybe we should run with it. But then there would be pressure to tidy!

It may be a little bit untidy, but it is a wonderful work area. I love how your wall and chair are colour co-ordinated - such a pretty colour too.

I love the lilac colour of your wall too. It doesn't look messy to me (you haven't seen mine yet?!) but the idea of a wild crafting party sounds good....

I think a HMDYTBT a good idea, as would be a WOYFF (What's on your floor Friday). I fit into that catagory real easy! BUT, on second thoughts - when would we craft? We'd be blogging all the time, but THEN there would be no mesy would there? Think I'd rather have mesy! Love your ribbon storage. ikki

I love you even more now... well done

Ah ha! No doubt, the more space you have, the quicker it can be filled! Never mind HMDYTBT - how about -HLDITTU - How long does it take to untidy? I need to know what was originally in those tubs on the floor. And if it was food - is it still a favourite?

Hello, I'm Vicki said...

My goodness, well what can I say, the swing round part is not too bad actually and I must admit that my craft room quite often has stuff all over the floor. When you get to the point where you can't get back out then you know you have to tidy up! Tracey x

I love the idea of all those unfinished projects forming into something beautiful - it's all a productive untidyness x

At last - a genuine photo of what a craft room really looks like at some stage - what a relief - it's artfully messy, colourful messy, creatively messy - just perfect.

Victoria said...

now y'see that's actually quite tidy. I swung right out of the room and downstairs to take my pics today as my craft room is more of a pile of stuff room at the moment!

That is part of my unmounted stamp collection Kate ... all stored on A5 laminated sheets :0) See I am a bit organised :0)

Rosie said...

Had a lovely nosey round your desk again Linda! Love your way of organising unmounted stamps - do you put them in a bag as well? Mine seem to fall off the laminate surface a lot ....

It might be a tad untidy at the moment, but my god, it's still a beautiful space. And did you say "that's part of my stamp collection???". That's incredible, truly amazing.
