Just time for a quickie!

BFa0401

Where does the time go? There I was with a free day and only a few bits to do ... before you know it ... lunch has been and gone and I am rushing around again trying to catch up!

It has been nice though ... I did a spot of impromptu babysitting for my nephew's little lad ... we were playing very nicely when he got tired and decided to exercise his lungs ... all sorted with a quick nap though :0)BF0401

Right ... back to the job in hand ... a quickie blog post ...

I have made a card using paper from the Home Front range ... and a Maya Road Chip house ... then I spruced up a bottle of wine with a Maya chip key chain  ... lots of Wendy Vecchi stamps and some distress inks.

We have new neighbours moving in sometime later this week ... the other side had to wait about 6 months before I got around to welcoming them ... so this time I thought I would be more organised.

I will admit to being in a slight quandary though ... Do I swap the ball chain for something else??? People that don't craft just don't get ball chain and it's value to us crafters ... do they??? ... Maybe I will use another piece of thin ribbon ... who said I was tight??? I prefer to think of myself as erm ... economical :0)

Right ... back to the "to do" list ... wish me luck :0)

Hi Linda, I think this is a thoughtful and brilliant welcoming present, and they will love you for it. Yes, go with the ball chain. My sister in law had saved me some this Christmas as she had remembered, and she is not a crafter, so people do understand,

Happy New Year, lovely card and keep the chain, non crafters do not appreciate it, give them ribbon (we are cheap skates aren't we). Ann x

I would swap it for ribbon and add it to my cleverly concealed and much looked upon pot full of unusedball chain. Because I can't use it because people don't give it back.
Love the idea as a gift. We'll be moved in before the week is out. Jsut got a house swap with Ginny in Sydney to sort out first. Really, I'll go anywhere for a bottle and a bit of chain.

Oh what a lovely neighbour you are!! Can I move in next door? I would keep the ball chain normally except I found this place in Al Khobar that sells it by the metre for pennies... in fact all their chains sell for pennies so I use it like ribbon now!! LOL

I know what you mean about the time - it's only a few minutes since I was standing in our town watching the countdown to the millennium! Good luck with the to do list.

Oh that's gorgeous Linda ;) I wish I had neighbours like you - I've got DD right next door but it would've been nice for some others to welcome me :) I'd leave the chain thing you may find one or other of them is into craft, or you may indeed introduce them to the delights of crafting ;)
