A Weather Forecast!

ZZproject3c0110I decided this morning I would quite like to be a weather girl ... not the one off BBC Breakfast ... you know ... Carol wotsit ... I can see standing in the Blue Peter garden just once and doing the weather may be a bit of a buzz ... but everyday??? In the cold??? Not for me!!!

No I was thinking about the wardrobe and the make up ... clocking off after five minutes and having the rest of the day to craft in glamour may be quite nice!ZZproject3a0110

So ... to today's forecast ... well that will be ... erm ... snow ... snow and ... erm ... more snow ... see I could do it ... simples!!!

I think my weather map is quite original too ... no mistaking the conditions with this book ... is there???

I made this just after Christmas in a bit of a frenzy as one of my Zutter projects for December. My friend has some lovely pictures of her kiddywinkles playing in the snow and I thought she might like a mini book to frame them nicely.

ZZproject3d0110 The papers are Basic Grey and the word snow template is by Jayne Bentley. I used 1/2" baby blue wires to bind and my new and very lovely ... pink Bind-it-all.

The snow flakes are grungeboard from the dashingly handsome Mr Tim ... who can forecast the weather a year at a time ... getting it 100% correct just using his non-stick scissors and a small bottle of Fired Brick stickles. I coloured them with Broken China and Walnut stain distress inks ... popping on some added bling.ZZproject30110

The charms, ribbons and bits were all stuff I had laying around after preparing and not making Christmas cards ... packets long discarded ... so I have no idea where they came from or who they are by ... sorry!

Righty-ho ... I hope you are warm wherever you are and that the snow does n't spoil your plans ... I could start a rant here about why in the UK we are just never prepared for any snow whatsoever ... but I won't ... us weather girls are always smiley and positive don't ya know :0)

See ya!

Your blog always makes me smile Linda and your snow book makes me want to do one the same but unfortunately I am snowed in so cannot buy what is needed so that is that. Maybe Mr Tim H who is a "genious" can instruct me in how to get out of here.

What a fab book!

Glamourous Crafting - surely not - think of how quickly the clothes would be glue/ink/paint spattered and how the makeup would be ruined by glitter - you know how that stuff gets EVERYWHERE!

No snow here. Lots of ice. And freezingness. And me pulling one door of the car from the outside while Craig is inside kicking it open cos it's frozen up... but no snow. Yet.

Love your book, I'm always so impressed with these. I may have to have a play one day - though it wouldn't look a patch on yours I'm sure :D

Linda,
By any chance would you be willing to share the svg file for this snow word book? If you didn't create it do you know where I can get it? We just got back from a snowboarding trip and this would be perfect for those pictures.
Hugs,
Sherry
