Beer Mats and Baubles!

ZZproject3b1209

Would n't that be a great name for a drinking establishment???... I would drink in there! Actually ... right now as long as alcohol was plentiful and I did n't have to give present shopping another thought ... I would drink anywhere!!!ZZproject31209

I started Christmas shopping today ... Yeah ... 7 down and about another 930 to get!!! I exaggerate by the way ... tis a flaw in my character ... I say that ... when I exaggerate I do it so ridiculously ... no one ever believes me anyways ... so I don't think that needs to remain on the list of my flaws ... which has 10,000 other things on it ... I shall now remove it :0)

ZZproject3a1209 This beer mat box was a submission for the Zutter Zisters DT for December ... it is slightly different from my usual ... in that it opens like an exploding box and I have decorated a bauble to celebrate Jack's first Christmas ... I thought it would make a nice keepsake and seeings as Jack's Dad grew up in a pub ... quite apt too!

Now for the dilemma ... Do I wrap the presents I have bought and do them gradually ... or do I let them all stack up ... as per usual ... and then curse because I have left them until the last minute ... thing is ... I really cannot face shopping and wrapping in the same day ... maybe tomorrow :0)

Wow, this is beautiful, he'll love it. Wrap them as you buy them....I always wrap them all at once at the last minute and it's panic time, always run out of paper or tape. I never follow my own advice, and I suspect neither to do.......

I saw this on the Zutter site but it is beautiful :) I'm sure it will be the perfect keepsake - gorgeous colours, too.

How CLEVER is this?? Brilliant work Linda ... hope they offer you a job!

This is just gorgeous Linda. And as to wrapping, I'm the last person to talk to about that. Every year I say I am going to wrap as I go along, never happens. I'm always cursing and crying the night before Christmas.

I havent started shopping for presents yet (just pleased I've got the cards made, lol!) and wish I could wrap as I buy - when I buy... good luck.

By the way, the box is A-MAY-ZING as Craig Revel-Horwood would say on Strictly...

no shopping here i'm afraid...but i do love your bauble in a box...could you make me about 50 then i won't have to go shopping at all! lol

such a sweet keepsake...i bet they love it!

Lovely bauble Linda! I say wrap as you go, I have a small pile of wrapped ones and a long list of unbought. When I feel fraught I go and look at the wrapped ones and kid myself I am further on than I really am. It helps a bit!!

Bloody perfect gift missus. Do not wrap on the same day. But do not leave them for a marathon wrap wither; it makes you bitter about lack of help and extra work and blahdy blah. I should know. As for exaggeration..I think I actually do still have 930 presents to buy!!

This is soooo stunning, Linda

As for the wrapping little by little I say. I spent a whole day wrapping one year and it was horrendous. Never again

love the blues on this beautiful and very special that will be treasured for a long time. As for the present wrapping just get a large glass of red and leave them all to pile up and do them in one go!

What a fabulous box and bauble. One for little Jack to treasure.
I'd get the wrapping paper and sticky tape out the day after shopping... or better still get someone else to do it for you (hubby usually does mine)
