A is for ...... At last!

Alphascrap1

A long time ago, before the motor car and colours TV's ..... well last Christmas actually .... I made a pact with a friend that in January we would start an alphabet journal. We would do a letter every two weeks and we would base it on a craft techniques and materials theme. Well, my friend started hers in January ..... I think I may have started one version then ..... I can't actually remember. Anyways after 100's of book changes, colour changes and room tidies I have now actually made my A page.

Alphascrap2 My page was completely inspired by Tim Holtz's alphabet tile paper ..... in fact I started the page with his "A" but it did n't look right with the Addison paper.

I have also made the page on foam board ..... like what Tim does too and I followed his DVD to make cut outs so my dominoes are flush with the page and I also have a shaker in there.Alphascrap3

I am soooooooooo pleased with myself ...... Now I need to start on the letter B [hopefully that won't take another 6 months!]

I think it's brilliant - honest! There is lots of detail to look at but it all ties together. The more I look the more I see. The shaker is a great idea! Love the mosaic theme! Oohhhh - I've just spotted the aeroplane! Looking forward to B.

Fab work! You've reminded me that I've been wanting to use shakers in a scrapbook LO. I love the paper and colours you've used.

it looks brilliant, so much detail. Each time I look there is something else popping out at me.
