It is a very cold and very windy night here in Cambridge. Finished work, ate my dinner, walked the dog and then popped onto the Papertake Challenge blog to see what this weeks challenge was!
Horror of Horrors - it was a floral challenge. YIKES!
Those of you that know me well, know that I don't really do flowers! But a challenge is a challenge! I got my special Sun Flower stamp out. Now when I say special, I mean special.
An artist friend of mine started designing rubber stamps and I asked if she could do a Sun Flower. Being the good friend she is she said yes! Her name is Linda Luckin and you can now buy her beautiful stamps from The Artistic Stamper.
Well I stamped and I stamped [nine Sun Flowers to be exact] and then I carefully cut all of them out - yes all nine!!!
Grabbed a die cut vase from my DeeCraft die cuts and distress inked it up! Mounted the vase and the flowers onto a lovely vibrant DVWV Far East backing paper and here it is .......
.... My tribute to the great man himself "Vincent".
Now I am off to clean up the mess I made :0(( I hope you like it. Another big Thank you to the girls at Papertake weekly and especially to Annie as it is her first week as a guest designer!
