Cool! Well it Was!

BF70507

I was quite happy when I woke up this morning ... there was a chill in the air and I actually needed sleeves! I thought my calls for Winter had been answered. Then without warning ... I started to melt ... the temperature went up and Lo and Behold ... the Sun put in an appearance ... Doh! Still ... apparently ... it is n't all about me :0) ... and I see lots of you are enjoying the warmer climate ... so from this moment on ... I shall try and embrace this heat wave and stop ... erm ... whining!BF60507 And there's another question ... at what point does it become a heat wave??? Is it after a certain amount of days ... or does it have to reach a certain temperature for a certain length of time??? And ... what is the difference between a normal Summer ... if there is such a thing in the UK ... and a heat wave???

All in all I have had a nice crafty day ... I made this little chipboard piece for the Bubbly Scrumptious blog ... all the details are here. I have kitted up for my class at LB Crafts tomorrow ... which I always enjoy ... and I have thought about another project.

BF50507 Does anyone else do that??? Spend ages thinking about creating and not actually creating??? Or is it just me??? Thing is after I have finished thinking about creating and actually started creating ... quite often the project changes completely ... so why do I waste so much time with the ... erm ... thinking in the first place??? I know this and yet I still do it!

No accounting for some people now is there?

Have a lovely evening everyone ...

Laters!

Lovely artwork Linda, love the lace and that heart embellishment, but then again I do collect hearts. I am with you Linda I don't like it too hot, with auburn hair and pale skin it is not for me. I spend a great deal of time thinking about projects and then when I come to make them they turn out completely different. Think it's a crafter thing LOL. Have a lovely evening, Tracy Evans x

Beautiful artwork, love the lace.

Thats gorgeous Linda. I have the same problem thinking about creating, I'm a compulsive sketcher when it comes to planning a project, I spend ages working out all the details, rubbing bits out, drawing them back in, all for the finished thing to look nothing like the plan :D

Lovely art here, love all the trims and bits and bobs.
I'm still moaning about the heat and I don't care!!

Love your creation, not loving the wishing the warm weather away sort of thinking:{I just loves the heat:}
Well, the thinking debate, I've tried it all. If I think about a creation, more often than not it is a technique that I'm considering or a combination of colours or the placement of objects together. If I over think it I'm always disappointed 'cos it doesn't turn out how I planned. I guess that's what real crafting is , adaptability and artistic expression, frustrating, wouldn't you say? Fun though:) xXX

Sorry hun... was sitting here thinking about typing for about half an hour PMSL
As for the heat wave... I have never actually seen a heat, let alone see it wave ... oh I am full of wit and sparkling repartee today aren't I?? LOL I wish it were cooler too.. I am fed up with being hot and it makes me a little bit grumpy... not that I would ever show my grumpyness to anyone...much! Hope all is well with you... have a great class tomorrow x

Beautiful little hanging thingy Linda. I would never have thought to put those two shades together but they look gorgeous. Aren't you clever - even if you are hot and bothered!

Love the colours today. You've got to spend time thinking so you know where you are going.... and then you can make a start. Most things turn out differently but so much better. Keep thinking and creating!!!

Love the colours Linda - such a fun piece - thanks for sharing I love to drop by to see what you've been magic-king up !!
My guilty secret is that I like to spend time reading about crafting - books and wandering about peoples blogs - instead of actually DOING it ! But then I think, if it's all about having fun & I enjoy it just as much - should I drag my little guilt bundle about wrapped up in a (home-dyed of course!!) hankie !! Anyone else a closet craft reader - or is it just me ?!!

As I have moaned before ...my mind goes round in creative circles and nothing materializes at the moment but normally, when doing a LO I can take days 'thinking' and then even sketching out an idea ...only to find that it just does't work and the end result is nothing like first thoughts.

Another beautiful piece of work here but I have to say I absolutely love the baby book on the previous post ...stunning xx

The heat here is unbearable for anything but a swimming pool and cold beer! OR iced sangria ;)

Absolutely gorgeous piece, and I love the colours. I'm just the same, I can spend ages staring at pieces of patterned paper, til my other half asks if I've fallen asleep! But no, I'm working out in my head all the different ways I can put them together...

I know what you mean. I often find when I put what has been in my head down in front of me it looks totally different. A beautiful project as usual.

what a beautiful piece of art Linda and as for creating exactly what is creating ??? its very warm here to again today, but just right xx

Oh that's me you describe. I can never get the 'thing' to match what's in my head - enter much grr and bad words!
Buy an air con unit - best investment long term. Are you in the attic? It's desperately hot in ours, couldn't take it.

Always such a pleasure to land on your desk. Love the red and brown combo and what could be a better sentiment - MAKE ART. Love it.

Okay - 1.the difference between a normal british summer and a heatwave is the heat, lol. 2. Yes, i spend ages reading about crafting, thinking about crafting, making notes about crafting, before thinking how exhausted I am and going to bed....

Stunning Linda, just gorgeous.
I think, then think some more, I research and look for inspiration and get hung up looking rather than making - takes me ages.
Still never mind I wouldn't be able to see all this eye candy if I didn't.
Luv Brenda xoxox
