It struck me earlier that some bloggers out there may not want to read the nonsense that I write! They may in fact want to know what I actually used and how I actually made something. So ... I am not going to mention the fact that it is only 56 more sleeps until I go to Ranger U and I won't be sharing the second verse of my song ... which goes ... I'm going to Ranger U ... I'm going to Ranger U ... Eeiiiaddio ... I'm going to Ranger U ... yes I know it is very similar to verse one but apparently there has to be a song writer's hook to get other's to sing it ... and I am pretty sure my hook is ... I'm going to Ranger U.
OK ... sensible and informative ... I used Scattered Straw ... Rusty Hinge and Forest Moss and blended them together. I then used a mask and blended Brushed Corduroy over the top. I removed the mask and stamped Tim's flourish in Gold acrylic dabber and then Tim's shabby french script stamp in jet black archival. Finally I added one of Tim's ornate frames with an adage ticket and a Jenni Bowlin butterfly.
So apart from the butterfly all the products are Lord Tim of Holtz's ... you know Tim ... the man that could slay two dragons while standing on his head and reciting Macbeth word for word with just a long legged brad and a sprinkling of distress embossing powder ... What??? I reeeeeally tried :0)
Have a good weekend everyone!

Gorgeous tag Linda. Do you think you could repeat the words of the song one more time, I don't think I've quite got them yet:0)

Linda, I enjoy the nonsense(as you call it) that you write. I enjoy laughing along with you, reading your stories, and there is part of me that lives through you when it comes to Tim Holtz. So don't change. If you do it won't be you. Awesome tag... You work is so stunning!
Where are you going? :)
I love what you write too, Linda - lots of fun to brighten a dull day :) Keep it up, but by all means tell us how you did it!!!
I love what you create ...verbally and visually .... seriously and nonsensically ... just love the blog.

Wonderful tag, that script stamp has got to go on to my wish list as I don't have it yet (sacrilege I know) I adore the colours you've used.
I'm glad you only gave us 57 days notice of your countdown!!
Fab tag ! & what are you like? lol
Lol you know you are totally mad lol but one day closer and i am sure we will all be as mad as you are by the time you get there hehe.

hugs June xxxxx
That is a gorgeous tag, and I love the sensible section, coz I can skip it and only have to come back to it when I'm ready to completely coopy your work. Are you going to Ranger U then?
I really REALLY like this - absolutely beautiful, I'm a sucker for vintage browns and greens. Why are you so good at this when I'm not??? Snot Fair.
Can I ask if the tags/paper you use are semi-gloss? I'm finding my distress ink is staying where it's put and not blending over the project as much as I would like.
thanks

Hi Linda, you're song is in my head now, catchy isn't it? Love the colours you've used, keep writing just the way you do, that's what we keep turning up for, plus the gorgeous artwork, Judith xxx
Hhm, I only come here for the nonsense that your write!! And no, I don't want to know how you made something because that would then make it sound really simple, like something I can do when I know I can't!
Pop over to my blog sweetie and read todays post (Saturday), I have a little TH story of my own that you may get a kick out if! I howled with laughter when I saw this on another blog.
Hugs
Brenda

It's great to know what you used - not that I could ever make anything like this - but I'm easily tempted with new colours and little stashy bits and bobs
