48 More Sleeps!

SSkitsample3a

I was planning on blogging a whole lot earlier than this ... but the blooming tinternet had other ideas! This is another card that I made for the Summer Sizzle kit that I designed for Creativity Boutique. Not my usual type of card ... but I did slip a bit of Lord Tim of Holtz's Grungepaper on it and even though it is very very pink ... I actually quite like it! You know Tim ... the man that can make dreams come true while rescuing little fluffy puppies from big grizzly bears with just an Idea-ology jump ring and a manilla tag.

It has been a busy day here ... I discovered that my very talented fellow Craft Stamper DT member Anneliese Bates will be going to Ranger U too ... her email got lost in the webiverse and she did n't know until last night ... so after many excited emails we have booked our flights ... the hotel and everything ... it's official ... oh and the song has obviously changed to ... We are going to Ranger U ... We are going to Ranger U ... eeiiaadio ... We are going to Ranger U :0)SSkitsample3

Amongst all the excitement there was some bad news too ... apparently they are making John's shift redundant ... so he may have to start working days instead of nights ... work is work I s'pose ... but the really bad news is that I may actually have to start cooking .... or worse still ... doing a bit of housework ... my head hurts just thinking about it!

I am off now for a quick blog hop and an early night ... I have a class at Olney tomorrow ... they are just gonna love my singing :0)

I love this card ...not a pink person either ..but it works so well.

Do you really hate cooking?? As its summer there are salads with a meat platter or Jackets with endless fillings. I did live for my slow cooker when i was a working mum ... so much that when DD returned home after DH died, the only proviso was that I bined my 2 cookers and never replaced them... I had scared her for life lol

I hate to scare you all but cooking is one of my fav things to do, I actually prefer it to eating! Oh well maybe I'm just weird lol! I definitely hate hw though, can't even type it out!
Have a wonderful weekend - I'm off to snooze land.

I'm not overly a pink person, but you know how I like bright - so this is gorgeous to my eyes! Gah, bad luck about John - I wonder if he's considered the seriousness of the cooking situation.......and oh, golly, are you going to Ranger U?

Lovely work. I'm sure even Tim would approve of the pinkness!

It's pink but it's slightly grungy pink so I guess you can be excused! sorry to hear about John's shift, hope he's not under your feet too much and that there are no further threats to jobs.

LOL @ you Linda. The only time that housework comes before scrapping/stamping is in the dictionary! *Ü* Pretty card. I'm excited for you and Ranger U. How long is it for? TFS. ~Glen~

How amazing to be going to Ranger U. With this on the horizon how can you possibly be expected to think about mundane things such as housework and food??

Love the card, I know what you mean about pink, but it has it's place, and it's place on your card is fab!! Hope your ladies liked the song today.

Err the singing was rubbish and I forgot to make that official complaint. Thanks for the inspiration though :)

See you at Artsy Craft where I am sure you will inform us a trillion times that you are going to Ranger U - yawn. Alright I'm jealous (a little!)

I'd put up with the singing to be in the class! but are you absolutely sure it's only 48 more sleeps to Ranger U?

As for the cooking - no way Jose! I'd rather starve!

The card's great even though it's pink, Lol!

See now if I lived a bit nearer you could have had me in for the housework and maybe even got away with charging me. Gym/aerobic exercise and all that. Shame I live so far away! LOL!

Brilliant news about the flights :) not so good news about the redundancy :(

Sorry to hear about John's shifts - you'll have to make sure your crafting time doesn't get shortened - because we so enjoy seeing the fab results, including today's - love the colours x
