Spring has Sprung!

ZZproject30310

Or has it? Apparently there are lots of journalists looking for signs of Spring today ... I would just like to point them in the direction of my Craft room window ... it's very sunny out there ... which is a good enough sign for me. ZZproject3a0310

Any one sad at waving good bye to the coldest winter for 31 years??? Nope??? Me neither!

So ... as always I was over the top and my Spring submission for the Zutter DT is more Summer than Spring! Hey Ho!They do say that Love is in the air at this time of year and it certainly is for me ... I have fallen in love with the new Zutter Hang-it-alls. You just hammer them in and the jobs a goodun! ZZproject3b0310 Love Love Love them! If you would like some ... just to see how good they are ... well you all you need to do is leave a comment here before March 10th and who knows ... it could be you :0)

Look closely at my hangie thing and you will see some more of Rachel Greig's wax crayon  resist technique and lots of Darkroom Door stamps ... the Grunge flower is a Frangipani ... I think that's right ... it is definitely something like that ... what a fab name for a flower ... especially if I have just made it up :0)ZZproject3c0310

For all those Distress ink gurus out there ... yup! ... you are right ... I have n't used DI's ... I have indeed got out my Adirondack ink pads ... Lemonade ... Butterscotch ... Terracotta and Sunset orange.

Have a good day everyone ... and don't forgot to share your signs of Spring ... I hope they are as scientific as mine :0)

More amazing work from you Linda, such an inspiration to us all:)

Every bit as scientific as yours - the frost has melted on the part of the lawn that isn't in the shadow of the house, does that count as spring? Love your hanging piece, those hangy thingies look fab!

I can see crocuses in my garden so that must be a sign of Spring. Love your hangy thing and especially the bright colours. Cheers us all up!!

So love the look of these hang it alls and your hanging thingy is beautiful ...are those beer mats
again?

The sun is shinning and the rays are actually warmish ...some one has hung their washing out and I saw snowdrops in someones front garden...no crocuses yet.

Beautiful project Linda! I thought that a frangipani was an almond flavoured cake, but then I do think way more about cakes than I do about flowers! :)

If I'm feeling down a visit to your blog never fails to brighten my day. I am amazed by your never repeated definitions of the master himself - T.H. - and inspired by your wonderful work. The Zutter hang-it-alls look a fun idea - it would be great to win some.

Very lovely - liking those hangy wotsits. Frangipani are gorgeous and smell divine!! Frangipani manoi bath cream by Elemis is the most fabulous smell in the world! (the almond cake is a franzipan - like marzipan)

What lovely sunny sunshiney tags and love those hangy things - entered the draw - thanks for the link. I had seen the video but somehow missed the bit about the draw.

I love how you have made those flowers - I think that I could manage those - the roses beat me to submissions and tears :-(

oooh - all those adirondak inks remind me of a good old stodgy pudding - good enough to eat with ice cream (obviously now the weather is a heatwave in comparison!!!)

These hang-it-alls are like little squares of heat - I could almost warm my hands on them... I like them - I like them a lot!!!!

Lovely colours, Linda. Just what I was trying to achieve today and singularly failed to do. I shall have to have another go now using your recipe. Yes, I think Spring has indeed sprung, finally. I actually managed to dry some clothes outside for the first time in months.
