If you were n't seeing red before you read this post ... then you will be now! This piece can only be described as red ... in fact very red! It is Barn Door distress ink and if anyone thought Distress inks were a bit dull before ... well Barn Door is anything but dull.
I made this piece earlier today for the Bubbly Scrumptious blog ... you can check all the how tos and where to buys here.
I am not quite sure what is going on with all the red and all the lace ... it's not like its nearly valentines day or anything ... I just felt that way inclined!
Check out Timmy's new memo pins ... they are now on my top ten favourite list ... well for today anyway ... you all know how fickle I am! You know Tim ... the man that can build a life size model of the Sphinx with just a memo pin and some sepia accents while lying on a lilo in the middle of the red sea.
Shall I tell you the excitement that I have lined up for the rest of my day ... are you sure you will be able to cope with the revelation ... are you sure you can bare the suspense ... for the rest of today I will be ... erm ... ironing! There ... I said it ... I swore on the World Wide Web ... I shall be back later though and I hate ironing so I shall be in need of some cheering up ... if you don't want to leave a comment ... well tell us a joke or something ... a girl needs something to look forward to :0)

Hi Linda -
Love the red - just so vibrant and gorgeous! IRONING! Ugh, yuck - like garlic to a vampire!!! You poor girl - we need to call out the big guns! Tim - help! One of your acolytes is in desperate need of your guidance. Please show her the error of her ways. Ironing is only for crafting! Be proud to wear wrinkled clothing - or smooth them by hand when they come out of the wash and put them on hangers! LOL!!

Gorgeous as always Linda, I soooo love that red !!

A woman after my own heart - I hate ironing too - so much in fact that I only do it if I really have to
If anybody mentions that your clothes aren't perfectly smooth, just explain to that the 'Distressed' look is the new black ;)
Delicious colour - that's another item to go on my shopping list then! Don't DO ironing, MIL does it, but then I have to have her her live with me ....
Fab art...er, you should have said about the ironing...I ...erm...love ironing...strange but true..it feeds the control freak in me....now..for a joke...

I'm terrible at jokes Linda so I'll just commiserate and own up to the fact that ........... I'm just taking a coffee break from .............ironing!!!! What makes it worse is I iron in my craft room so I have rubber stamps, Distress Inks and all manner of other goodies crying out to me constantly 'Come and play, come and play'. It's torture! Lol!

Hi Linda,
Thank you for becoming a follower of my blog The Simple Things of Life. I love all your art and was at the paper artsy weekend last october. I think you sat on the same table as my friend Burn.

Here's your joke, I have to flag it or you might not recognise it's a joke I'm that bad at telling them. 'If at first you don't succeed... maybe skydiving's not for you' :0) Now what you need to cope with all that ironong is an Aga! Not many people know that amonst all its other virtues - and they are many - an Aga will also do all your ironing for you. I exagerate slightly - it doesn't do shirts, but apart from shirts, it's wonderful. Think of all the extra time you'd have for crafting.
Oh and ...
Roses are red, violets are blue,
No-one makes roses quite like you!

How could you EVER SAY SUCH A THING!!! Ironing.....I don't buy clothes that need to be ironed!!! That's what the dry cleaners is for!! My iron is only USED IN MY CRAFTING!!
