Cause and Effect!

WOYWW2701

I think we pretty much established last week that WOYWW is now a cult ... has a huge and growing population and we are now in need of a forum ... What about an annual get together? ... Julia ... hunny ... pull your finger out :0)

What we did n't establish is the effect it has on your crafting life ... oh yes people ... it just is n't Wednesdays ... don't ya know.

As a result of having a nosy at what others have on and around their crafting areas ... well I now have a plastic duck ... that I plan on altering or just talking to ... oh yes ... you know who you are ... this week I have started two mini books ... eyed up every die I can find ... tidied stuff in an orderly fashion ... had my sewing machine out ... and put it away again ... seriously ... the list is endless!

You have just got to join in ... Don't be shy ... Julia is rather lovely ... although she does make us wear a silly hat ... but no one can see us ... or is that just me?  :0) Come on ... it's Wednesday ... What's on your work desk? ... and if you have been joining in for a while ... What is the effect this wonderful group of people is having on you?

What effect is it having on us.. do you know this is only the 4th Wednesday i've been blogging and i'm ADDICTED!!!!!!!! However, I must say that I've had the time to follw more than I would normally - being off work at the mo and all - but I don't think now that I couldn't not join in (is that an oxymoron I just made or am I just tired and talking rubbish?!?!?)... anyway, you are so right about what a cult Julia has created. I found myself thinking last night that i'd tidy up in anticipation of posting this morning!!! - Even my CEO doesn't have that effect on me at work!!! Tee hee.

'See' you later, if you get chance to pop by mine!!!

Like your ducky friend ... and know what you mean about the addictive quality of nosing around other people's craft spaces. Gotta get my weekly fix now!

You're right - it is a growing cult - and I love having a nose - and learning new things from what I see in other people's spaces - like the spiky thing that you commented on that I showed this morning ... always learning x

I had to laugh seeing the duck as today when I went to our local farm shop, they have a rather large puddle outside of it and the have nicely placed around and on it about 12 little coloured plastic ducks and it looks well great, just wish I had my camera xx

It took me along time to work up the courage to share my space with prying eyes, but I know how much I like to have a nose at other's desks, and now like everyone else I'm hooked. It has had some positives though, it made me get on with my invitations!
Love to see the transmogrification of the duck!

Love the duck, but will Distress Inks from He-who-knows-you-worship-him-without-us-telling-him-so stick on plastic?!!
I know what you mean Linda. This WOYWW thing has really taken off! And it influences (1) how I spend my Wednesday evenings after work, looking at everyone's desks,(2) how I store my stash, ideas garnered from other posts (3)techniques I try because I've seen them on WOYWW posts.. anything else? Oh yes, (4)how many names can I dream up to call Her Majesty Queen Julia ;)

I have as yet to succumb! I peek, but don't post - maybe I will....

Duck Altering?? Is that allowed?! LOL
Cant wait to see what you do with that!!
As for a Jolly WOYWW Outing, I think its a great idea, although Julias suggestion of bringing the "star" along may prove difficult - you could bring your Duck and Lou her marvellous hat.........
Still LMAO at that piccie....
