I Did it!!!

ZZproject1c1209

I did you know! Christmas shopping got put off longer and longer yesterday ... then I realised my local department store was open until 10pm. So at precisely 6.30pm I dragged John into the one shop and ... wait for it ... drum roll please ... I bought almost all of my Christmas presents ... 28 of them ... all in 2 hours ... it was like the shop was open just for us ... no queuing ... nuffink! Cool huh? Yes I am feeling very smug ... apart from the difficulty I am having sitting down ... but to know more about that you have to read this post by Mrs D.ZZproject11209

Now you think I am smugger than smug ... I will admit that the 15 carrier bags we attained are still just inside the dining room with all of their contents where I dumped them last night when we got in :0) I say I dumped them ... it was in fact John the pack horse that did all the carrying while I did the choosing part ... he came in very handy I must say! And I bought Christmas cards **Shock ... Horror**

ZZproject1d1209 Hopefully those of you that don't like clowns will be suitably distracted by now and won't have noticed that this post is indeed surrounded by them! This is the latest circle journal I have joined ... tis a stamping one so you send your journal and a stamp and hopefully it will be returned in 11 months time with lots of gorgeousness added to the pages. ZZproject1a1209

I used the Zutter canvas covers which were a real joy to work on ... and one of the Zutter closure thingy wotsits and I have bound my journal with my trusty Bind-it-all. The stamps are Artistic Outpost and the harlequin background is indeed one of Tim's ... the man that can rescue ickle fluffy kittens from 100 feet pine trees with just a christmas tag and an Idea-ology key chain.

I am rather chuffed with the ticket office sign in at the back.

Blimey it's late ... night all!

Lucky you having John to carry your purchases. My other half returns home form work a few days before Christmas when everything is bought and wrapped!

Absolutely stunning CJ. Good Luck...can't wait to see it come home. Hope you get chance to blog it. :-) Oooh, well done on the shopping front. I'm afraid I've wimped out of shopping & opted for the net! btw...stunning tickets.
Wishing you a lovely weekend. Off to see more of your gorgeous blog. Hugs Gez.xx

I love the journal...it's bright and loud and everything I like about colour. I love Angie's comment even more - made me very happy! Now, how's this for irony - you may have a very perforated butt....but believe me, my hand hurts from stabbing!! You just about redeemedyourself by not wrapping the same day. Although I'm just jealous, I am secretly very impressed by your shopping skill, I hope it never works that way again for you!

Well done Linda and lucky you having a fella who's prepared to go with you. In 37 years of marriage my OH has never been Christmas shopping with me. Mind you, I'm glad now 'cos he doesn't see how much of his 'hard earned' I spend on everyone, lol!

You're right about the narrative of your post keeping my mind of the clowns. I think your journal is fantastic and perfect for the subject but I've always found clowns scary and this one reminds me of Steven King's IT! Ha! Ha!

28 presents in two hours? You should have job as a personal shopper, that is impressive. I have one present so far and trying not to think about the others I have to get.

I LOVE it - especially the tickety thingy at the back! Isn't that what husbands are for, to carry all the stuff we're too frail and delicate to lug about? Well I thought it was ...
