Coaster-ing Along!

Beer 4a

I was going to call this post "Beer Mat it again!" You know like been at it again ... only Beer Mat it again ... because it is a beer mat! Then I thought I may confuse a load of my blogger friends because overseas they don't call it a beer mat ... and it was probably only me that thought it was a clever play on words! Having said that ... now I have explained it ... I am thinking it was n't that clever after all and I should just shut up! And Coaster-ing along is just plain desperate!Beer 4

Two words for this coaster ... Walnut stain ... who  would have thought it ... I have had walnut stain ever since I met the Lord T!m, back in the day, and if my memory serves me correctly ... I have only used it once or twice and that was just for edging things. But Look ... it is actually a really nice colour ... sort of warm and chocolatey.

All stamps used are Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 apart from the flower which is Artistic Stamper.

I plan to make one of these for every colour of distress inks and hang them all around me in my craft room ... that way I will never again forget what a lovely colour walnut stain is :0) Don't worry ... I won't expect you to look at them all!

I have just thought ... two more words ... Copper Krylon ... another under used and forgot about tool in my craft room.

Have a good weekend!

It is a lovely colour, isn't it? I think that after fired brick, it's the one I use most regularly. Another great piece Linda! :)

Linda, Your creations are absolutely amazing. Every time I come to your blog I am totally blown away by your projects. WOW, this is no exception. Incredible. Wendy Vecchi is coming to teach a class in November and I am definitely signing up solely because of the stuff I have seen on your blog. Thanks for always inspiring! Have a great weekend!

It is a lovely colour, I have to buy some more distress ink because a certain middle daughter had unsupervised craft time and left all the lids loose so they all dried out :( I love the walnut stain colour you've used will have to remember that one.

Brilliant idea to hang them all around your room - you are really going to show us them all I hope?

Totally gorgeous, Linda! I love the idea of doing one in each Distress color!!! Please show us all of them!!!

And isn't it funny how there are certain colors we use all the time and others we completely ignore? I use Walnut Stain all the time, especially if I want to stamp something in brown instead of black. Pine Needles is the color I've had for several years that had never seen paper or rubber until a couple of months ago...

Take care!
