What a match!

Advent1 Remember Blue Peter? Remember the set of drawers you used to make for your Sindy doll with Valerie Singleton and three match boxes?

Well to celebrate 50 years of Blue Peter I have finally gotten around to making my match box advent!

Boy, did it bring back some memories! I stamped all the paper myself and embossed using a white powder before blending Broken china ink over the top.

All the numbers are stamped and emAdvent2bossed in  silver.

The Merry Christmas on the top is by the Artistic Stamper.

My daughter has had a particularly difficult week and I know she is planning a blue, white and silver Christmas this year ... so instead of worrying about her ... I redirected my energy and made this advent calendar for her.

Now it is just a matter of finding 24 yummy goodies that fit in a match box!!!

This is great Linda: Fab idea.
I'll also admit I STILL keep paper clips and other bits in a little set of 3 drawers made, when I was about 14, from a Matchmakers choc box after seeing it done on Blue Peter!

I have a question about the large "box" that holds the "drawers" that I hope you will answer for me: is it a cube (or rectangular cube) opened at one end only, or both ends open?
My wife and I would love to make this for our neices
Thanks
Chuck

I have a question about this project and whether you had an instruction on just how to make it ?
I love the idea and would love to do something for my nieces / nephew for this christmas ? If you can help me that would be great.
