Out on a Jolly!

Dan 1 Yup - that is me ... around about now I will be on my way to London to do a spot of craft shopping before having lunch with friends.

It was Dan's birthday on Tuesday and we always meet up to celebrate. This is what I made Dan 2 him! I shall know in a little while whether or not he likes it ... fingers crossed!

The whole CD book was inspired by Dan's fantastic tutorial and I made this as a tribute to the inspiration I know he gives a lot of us!

Dan 3 I had to use the Bind-it-all, of course, because Dan taught me to use that as well!

The whole project was made using the masking technique which fits in nicely with the free theme on the Saturday Workout - because I am typing this on Saturday Dan 4 afternoon and I can't post it until Sunday [coz I don't want Dan to see it yet] I shall put my link on there when I get home!

Dan 5 I have left the masked areas mainly black and white and I have used glossy accents to add dimension.

I will see you all when I get home ... wish me luck!

I liked the last book you made (the green one), but this is even better. The colours are so vibrant! I'm sure Dan's thrilled with it.

Your artwork is fantastic! How did you cut through the CDs?

To cut through the Cds I score them with a craft knife and then heat where I have scored. While they are still hot I cut the line with scissors - I hope that makes sense ... if not please email me X
