Become ...

Back to Monday again already ... so here I am with another Design Team piece for Simon Says Stamp and Show! This week the new theme is Stamp and Show a word. The word I have chosen is "Become".
I have decorated this little book box with THE Wendy Vecchi stamps and Lord Tim of Holtz Distress Inks ... you know Tim ... the man that can set a new Olympic record for the Bob Sleigh ... in the desert ... while trimming Elephant toe nails with just an Ink Blending tool and an Acrylic block.
Our ever generous and lovely sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering another randomly drawn $50 Shopping Spree ... do join in if you can!
So ... What you guys got planned this week then? I have two classes and a whole shed load of other stuff to be getting on with ... and before I start ... horror of horrors ... I will actually have to tidy up my Craftroom first ... I can no longer cross the floor safely ... well ... without risk of grave injury to my person ... so today is D-Day!
Before I dash off ... Can I just say THANK YOU so much for all the hugs that were texted, commented and emailed to me last week ... I am doing Okay at the moment ... After a really bad few months ... John and I are talking again and things are looking much rosier around these here parts ... sometimes it takes things to get to their worst before you realise exactly what is important and we are both working hard to get things back on the right track! So keep your fingers crossed! Course that does mean my Hollywood career won't take off any time soon ... but hey-ho a girl has to make sacrifices for Lurve!
That's me then ...
Take care wonderful people ... you really are the best!

Feelin' the Blues!

I did think about starting this post with another apology for not blogging regularly and not emailing people back and not blog hopping and not Tweeting ... leaving you all wondering what glamourousness I was getting up to ... but then I thought ... do what you do best Linda ... just tell it like it is!
I have no intentions of filling this post with tales of woe ... telling you all that recently my fluffy pink world was turned upside down ... but that is the sad truth ... suffice to say that I find myself back on the shelf and not feeling entirely comfortable at the prospect!
I really want to type something witty at this point ... but nothing springs to mind ... I am sure it will ... just not today! I do after all have the option of falling back on the offers I get to play Julia Robert's full body and facial double ... so it is not all bad!
Now on to the matter in hand ... the new theme at Simon Says Stamp and Show is metal! Before the prospect fills you with horror ... just look around you ... us papercrafting types are indeed surrounded by metal of all types ... and even if you have just one brad on your work ... it will qualify for entry into the $50 Shopping Spree random prize draw that is made possible weekly by the wonderful site sponsors ... Simon Says Stamp!
My sample is an 8X8" canvas ... yes I have used Ten Second Studio metal ... but I have also used a Lord Tim of Holtz Ornate Plate ... you know Tim ... the man that can walk to the moon not just on it while modelling a life size model of the Empire State Building out of Golden Delicious Apples with just a Long Legged Brad and a Paper Piercing Tool!
The stamps are indeed Studio 490 from THE Wendy Vecchi and the little flowers are Dark Room Door!
Well ... that is me for now folks ...
Have a great week Y'all ...

Simon Says ...

I know ... I know ... it has been ages since I have posted ... well exactly a week anyway ... I am not quite sure what is happening ... but I just sem to have no time left in the day to blog ... I have always managed it before ... so I am not quite sure what is going on! I must try harder.
Anyways ... it is Monday and that means it is time for Simon Says Stamp and Show and this week the theme is Samp and Show your Distressed/Torn edges. The wonderfully generous site sponsor ... Simon Says Stamp is once again giving away a $50 Shopping Voucher to a randomly drawn entry ... so if you manage to find a spare five minutes ... do join us!
I decided to make some tags this week ... the stamps used are all Lord Tim of Holtz ... you know Tim ... the man that can win the Canadian Grand Prix while appearing with the Royal Ballet at the O2 Arena in London with just a Timy Attacher and a Long Legged Brad.
You would think that after a whole week away I would have some exciting gossip or tales of far flung places ... but the truth is ... I have n't really! I have just spent the last two days teaching in Olney ... which is always great fun ... Thank you for a fab time to all my lovely ladies ... oooo ... oooo .... I did manage to squeeze in a day at the seaside too ... it was lovely ...
That's me for now ... don't forget to join in with the challenge ...

So Sorry!

I kind of think it would be really bad form not to start this post without an apology ... I am sorry ... I know lots of you pop in daily and I have been nowhere to be seen! I could tell you that I was whisked away by my very own Mr Darcy to a far off tropical Island ... but that would be completely untrue ... the real truth is ... the week was gone before I even noticed!
I spent two lovely days in Olney teaching workshops to lots of lovely ladies ... whatever happened to the other five ... I have no clue!
Anyways ... I am here now ... hopefully you did n't miss me toooooo much ... although a little bit would be nice :0) This week's offering to the new theme at Simon Says Stamp and Show ... is ... Simon Says Stamp and Show a Tag! My tag was coloured using Rusty Hinge; Forest Moss and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I also stamped with Adirondack Snow Cap Dabber and Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink.
All of the stamps are Lord Tim of Holtz ... you know Tim ... the man that can get Olympic tickets for every event while snow boarding in the dessert with just an Ornate Frame and a 1" square of Claudine Hellmuth's Sticky Backed Canvas.
The butterflies are indeed said Stick Backed canvas die cut with a Movers and Shapers die.
Ooooo Blimey ... I nearly forgot ... if you fancy joining in with the challenge then all you need do is make a tag and then link up to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog ... here! There is a $50 Shopping voucher up for grabs again ... donated by the wonderful site sponsor Simon Says Stamp! You have gotta be in it to win it!
I am off to get some beauty sleep ... hopefully there won't be the repeat shambles of last week ... when Mr Blogger posted my post as scheduled ... but not the challenge site post! That caused a bit of confusion I can tell you!
Have a good week everyone ...
