My Heart Will Go On!

IH5

Good use of Celine Dion lyrics there ... huh?

Don't worry ... I have no plans to go on and on and on [like Celine] with any more pages after today!

Just thought I would share the odd few that you could n't see in yesterday's piccieIH2s!

Mind you ... you may have had enough yesterday ... in which case ... close your eyes ... erm ... quick!

As for there not being anymore rain ... we have had a torrent of it today in Cambridge!

Enjoy your evenings.

Sunday Stampers!

IH3

The challenge on Sunday Stampers this week is 'Imagine'.

I am not totally sure what I was trying to achieve when I started decorating this Maya Road board book ... Therefore I am not totally sure if I achieved it!

There are aspects of the book that I really like and IH4 aspects that I think are just horrible ... harsh words I know ... but I made it so I can be harsh!

There are five hearts in total ... you get many more with the Maya Road book ... but this is not the first time  I have started a project with this book and several failed attempts wound up in the bin!

IH6 No prizes for guessing what stamps I have used ... Wendy Vecchi and Stitchels Dotty Dot flowers [crafting essentials in my opinion] and finally I have embellished with Ideaology; Maya Road chip board dickie bird and little yellow plastic flowers, which I painted metallic blue.

I am off to do the ironing - GROAN

Have a good week everyone!

Home Sweet Home!

GB1

Blimey Blimey there can't be much more rain up there ... Can there?

Where did our summer go?

The sun had me fooled this morning ... doors and windows open everywhere ... then whoosh within  minutes every window sill and floor in the place is soaked ... Ho Hum!

Moving swiftly on ...This is my entry for the Paper Bag Studios July challenge. The theme is Home Sweet Home. GB2

The main stamp is Paper Bag Studios and the background stamps are Wendy Vecchi. I used Ranger Distress inks to colour and several bits of ideaology to embellish! I am not sure where the photo turns are from to be honest ... I have had them ages!

This piece also ties in nicely with TGiF this week ... the theme being 'using words'... my choice is Home ... which is my favouritist place too ... because all my crafty stash is here!!!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Edit: I did n't win the challenge but my work has been shown on the PBS blog and I also got a special mention in the feedback ... that is prize enough for me!

A Bit Puzzled!

SPB3

I have joined a swap over on UKStampers where the very talented and generous Sid sent 15 challengees two chunky puzzle pieces to alter.

Well I love altered art and got straight to work! When I say straight I don't actually mean straight to work ... I looked at them for about a week first!

NO! - I still have n't cleared my desk! [Well you all gave such wonderful encouragement to leave it ... I have!!! And just added more!!!]

Anyways enough of me ... I painted the piecesSPB2 with yummy Pebbles Inc Barn Red and then stamped over them in black with Wendy Vecchi's gingham stamp.

In fact I used that stamp on pretty much everything ... even the die cut flowers on the cover! Don't worry it's a phase ... it will pass! I know because about 5 years ago when gingham paper was en trend ... I used that on everything for ages ... eventually I moved on!

SPB1 Finally I decorated all the pages with the letters D-R-E-A-M ... purely so I could enter this for the Wednesday Stamper challenge as well and I used Grungeboard die cut letters for another DT submission so that it about three birds killed and no stones ... Just an ickle mini altered puzzle bind-it-all book!

N.B Please note that no animals were really harmed in the making of this book :0)

Still Hanging Around!

Art 2

I find honesty is the best policy!

To be frank I am sure you would have guessed that I did n't get around to clearing my craft table after finishing the bean tin ... but I thought I would fess up anyway!

I am kind of glad that I did n't! I started playing Art 5 with the grunge paper scraps rather than tidying them away [as you do] and things kind of escalated from there.

I made nine grunge papers patches and joined them together with jump rings ... finally I finished off with a cute little hanger.

The inspiration came from Wendy Vecchi again ... The crafting god that is Tim - his patchwork and finally the very clever Claudine who used the jump ring technique for an online class.

Where would I be without these wonderful people, their fabulous products and their amazing inspiration!

Bean Playing!

WV4

With a spare few hours and no MOJO I sat in my craft room staring into space! After a while I decided that it was no good and I really needed to do something so I grabbed the nearest set of stamps and made a WV1start!

Luckily the stamps I grabbed were in my Wendy Vecchi's studio 490 binder. Those of you that are  familiar with this particular range will know that they come with the most fabulous inspiration provided by Wendy herself ... so I did n't actually need any MOJO ... just some grunge paper, distress inks and a few of Tim's idea-ology bits!

WV3 Did I mentWV2ion the empty bean tin?

I have made a few of these tins and to my dismay find that after a while the glue [whichever one I use] starts  to give and the edges of the paper tend to fray up ... so this time I have left nothing to chance and I well and truly stitched it up using my trusty Cropadile and some 7 gypsies waxed cotton.

All I need to do now is fill it with pens ... a few hours well spent me thinks!
